Jonathan Djanogly, the Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon constituency, recently joined the Hinchingbrooke Rotary Club for their Environmental Evening at Brampton Woods. The MP joined in with the club who had volunteered to trim some of the overgrown trees and plants, clear the ridings and to undergo other general maintenance to help upkeep the woodland and preserve the wildlife there.Mr Djanogly said;

'It was thoroughly enjoyable to be part of this good cause and to help the Hinchingbrooke Rotary Club with some hands on voluntary work. It certainly was excellent exercise and the fresh air definitely did me good. I particularly enjoyed being shown around by the woodsman, George Cottam, who explained many interesting nature points in the wood.

'I have always been keen to support the upkeep of our woodlands which are a great amenity to our local area and it was great to see the immediate benefits of our work that I am sure will be enjoyed by many of my constituents.

'I would certainly encourage anyone to visit our woodlands, they are a unique feature to our countryside and there is a host of wildlife to be seen. A regular walk in the woods can be very pleasurable and is a great way to stay in shape.'
