Jonathan Djanogly MP recently welcomed students from a local school to Westminster. Kimbolton School students visited the Houses of Parliament on Monday 20 February 2012 for a tour of Parliament. Following their tour the students also took the opportunity to quiz their MP at a question and answer session with Jonathan Djanogly. Amongst a range of topics discussed Jonathan explained to the students how a bill moves through government to eventually become a law, explaining that both houses need to agree on every amendment in order for this to happen. Speaking after the event, Jonathan Djanogly said: ‘It's always a pleasure to welcome local schools to Westminster. The students always ask such interesting and varied questions and seem to enjoy the tour. I believe it is important to give young people an insight into politics, to show them how relevant it is for their everyday lives. I would encourage all local schools to visit Parliament when they can.’ Tours can be arranged through Jonathan Djanogly’s Westminster Office. Please telephone 0207 219 2367 for more information on making the necessary arrangements.
