Jonathan Djanogly has added his support to Network Rail's application for Trans-European Networks (TEN-T) funding to develop the Felixstowe to Nuneaton rail route.

Jonathan Djanogly Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon Constituency has written to Mr Jonathan Scheele, Director Trans-European Networks, adding his support to Network Rail's application for Trans-European Networks (TEN-T) funding to develop the Felixstowe to Nuneaton rail route.

Mr Djanogly said,

'Securing EU funds to help upgrade the Felixstowe to Nuneaton rail route will allow freight to travel by rail across the East of England and through the Midlands.

A relatively small contribution from the TEN-T budget would have a very significant impact on the region's infrastructure and would help to alleviate East-West congestion on the A14. I strongly support the application for funding the Felixstowe to Nuneaton route.'"
