Jonathan Djanogly Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon Constituency last Friday visited a site for the proposed cinema in St Neots along with Town Councillor and Chairman of the Cinema Group, Barry Chapman and County Councillor Bob Farrer. Mr Djanogly was shown where the new leisure facility was being suggested by the Cinema Group and how restaurants would co-exist with the development.

Mr Djanogly said;

'I am very supportive of a cinema being located in St Neots. I have been very impressed by the commitment shown by Cllr Chapman and the Cinema Group over the past two years and I shall continue to monitor the situation as the plans progress.'

Cllr Barry Chapman added;

'We are very pleased by Mr Djanogly's interest in the project which already has the support of Town, District and County Councillors. Huntingdonshire District Council is currently updating its plans for the Huntingdon Street site and we hope these will reflect the view of St Neots residents who wish to see a cinema here.'

During a busy day in St Neots, Mr Djanogly also visited the Town Council Offices at the Priory Centre and met the Acting Town Clerk and the Mayor to discuss various local issues.
