Local MP backs Government-funded skills course for SMEs

Jonathan Djanogly, MP for the Huntingdon Constituency, has today backed the Help to Grow: Management course, a £200m government-funded package aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses across the United Kingdom.

Available through fifty different providers, the course is delivered locally by Anglia Ruskin Business School through online and face-to-face sessions, and it is 90% funded by the Government. It is specifically designed to fit around work commitments, and aims to enhance leadership skills and build business resilience in the long-term.

Commenting on the course, Jonathan said:

“Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of the economy and, over the last few months alone, I have had the opportunity to visit many across Huntingdonshire who provide employment, investment and drive forward innovation.

“I know from speaking to local business owners and managers, however, that they often feel there are barriers to growth, and that is why I am giving this Help to Grow: Management course my full support.

“90% funded by the Government, the course seeks to empower SMEs to build resilience and growth, and I would encourage everyone who thinks that they may be eligible to look into signing-up, which can be done online.”
