Jonathan Djanogly, Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon Constituency will be using kettle power to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support at the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. This year, Mr Djanogly will be hosting his own event in the Free Church, St Ives. Please feel welcome to send a reporter/photographer along to the event and any publicity that you are able to generate would be greatly appreciated. The community-based event takes place all over the UK and last year pulled in over £7.5m for Macmillan. This year, the charity is hoping to raise over £8m so it can continue to provide vital services to people affected by cancer. Over 2 million people are living with cancer in the UK at the moment and 1 in 3 will develop some form of the disease during their lifetime. Macmillan wants to reach everyone affected and provide them with the practical, medical, emotional and financial support they need.
