Jonathan Djanogly has welcomed news that traditionally-measured crime has continued to fall, now down by a third since 2010, and remaining at historically low levels, according to the independent Crime Survey for England and Wales. Commenting, Jonathan said: ‘These figures show that Police reform is working. Crimes that we traditionally measure have fallen, and we are seeing over 370,000 fewer violent crimes a year. ‘Crime is changing and what these statistics show us is that the way we measure crime needs to change too so that we can continue to protect families in communities here in Cambridgeshire. ‘In Cambridgeshire crime recorded by the police has fallen by 10 per cent since 2010. This is good news for Cambridgeshire making our community a safer place to live, work and raise a family.’
