Jonathan Djanogly has today welcomed the decision by Huntingdonshire District Council’s Development and Control Panel to unanimously refuse the planning application for a Wind Farm at Cotton Farm, near to St Neots (Application No. 0802296FUL). Mr Djanogly said, ‘As I have already made clear, my objection to this application was not based on the merits of sustainable energy, which I believe are many. However, in this instance the application ran contrary to local, regional and national guidelines and I pleased to see that the District Council recognised this and refused the application accordingly. ‘I hope that N-Power now recognise and accept this decision and that they let the matter rest here, allowing the countryside to continue to be enjoyed by so many.’
