Jonathan Djanogly has today welcomed the news that Circle Healthcare has been awarded the contract to run Hinchingbrooke Hospital from next spring. Mr Djanogly said: ‘I look forward to working with Circle Healthcare. Hinchingbrooke Hospital is a well used and much admired local health facility. I will be looking to ensure that the level of care service provision is maintained at the current level. It is important to recognise that this exercise does not amount to privatisation as the Hospital assets and staff contracts will remain in the public sector. ‘This bidding process has been a long one and I am pleased that we now have a definite result which will be a relief for Hospital staff and local residents alike. I think that one of the benefits of the tendering process has been the level of public consultation. I very much hope that this will continue as the franchise moves forward as it is important that public confidence in Hinchingbrooke is preserved.’
