Jonathan Djanogly, Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon constituency has welcomed the announcement that Huntingdonshire Regional College is to receive a £1million grant from the government. Mr Djanogly said; ‘We were all hugely disappointed in the mismanagement of the Further Education capital programme that occurred under the previous administration. However, I am delighted that the College will now receive this substantial investment. ‘Of course, I recognise that it is no replacement for the relocation plans that had to be shelved last year but I do believe that it will make a real difference, helping to modernise the college’s facilities, giving them a much-needed boost at a time when their role in the community could not be more important.’
