Jonathan Djanogly, Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon constituency has today welcomed the news from NHS East of England regarding the franchise to manage Hinchingbrooke Hospital and the next stage of the bidding process. Mr Djanogly said; ‘I had previously advised the NHS that St Neots, as the largest town in Cambridgeshire, was not being properly consulted. I am now pleased that these concerns have been addressed and the town will have a meeting at 6pm on 19th July. ‘I am also pleased that my request for greater transparency from the bidders has been responded too. On 26th May, the bidders are to be providing are to be providing a presentation to the stakeholder panel which will be held Hinchinbrooke House, Assembly Rooms, Brampton Road, Huntingdon PE29 3BN at 2pm. ‘Both of these meetings will be open to the public. ‘Given the importance of Hinchingbrooke Hospital to our local community, it is important that the public have confidence in any successful bidder who may emerge from this process. ‘Full consultation with and maximum possible transparency to local residents will help to build the confidence required.’
