Jonathan Djanogly has welcomed the decision not to include the new A14 in the list of cuts proposed by the new Government. Mr Djanogly said: ‘The new road is vital for the local area and the local economy. I am delighted that the scheme has not been shelved.’ Following the requests that the Public Inquiry be delayed, Mr Djanogly has also written to the new Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond MP, requesting that the original timescale be adhered to as the scheme has been subject to continuous delays for 10 years. | Jonathan's letter to the Secretary of State
