COVID Community Champions Award

I know this past year has been very difficult for everyone, but with a world-leading successful vaccine roll-out and restrictions easing we are starting to see life returning to normal.

Throughout the pandemic people across Huntingdonshire have gone above and beyond to help others, and so to recognise their incredible efforts I am launching a COVID Community Champions award. From collecting prescriptions and supplies, to looking out for elderly neighbours, or volunteering and supporting the NHS - there are many examples of great community spirit throughout our local communities.

I am keen to highlight the stories of those who have gone above and beyond during these difficult times and to acknowledge those who have given so much to our local communities.

If you would like to nominate a local individual to thank them for the work they have done across Huntingdonshire then please email me at jonathan.djanogly.mp@parliament.uk or write to me at the House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA with the following details:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your email address
  • The name and contact email of the individual you are nominating for the COVID Community Champion Award
  • A short summary of why you are nominating them

The closing date for nominations is 1 October, and alongside the Hunts Post I will be announcing the winners in the autumn who will then be invited to a special reception in Parliament later in the year.
