Jonathan Djanogly: "I am honoured to have been appointed to the Front Bench team."

It has been announced today that Jonathan Djanogly, the Member of Parliament for Huntingdon, has been appointed to Michael Howards's Front Bench as Shadow Minister for Home, Constitutional and Legal Affairs with responsibilities including shadowing the Solicitor-General.

Mr Djanogly said:

"I am honoured to have been appointed to the Front Bench team. The Home Affairs portfolio is a particularly interesting one and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the issues ahead."

Wing Commander Richard Turpin, Chairman of Huntingdon Constituency Conservative Assocation, said:

"We are all thrilled at Jonathan Djanogly's appointment. Since becoming our Member of Parliament, he has served the constituency in an exemplary fashion. We all knew that promotion would not be long away and today's announcement has confirmed our view."
