On Friday 9 December, Jonathan Djanogly MP joined Council Leader Jason Ablewhite and local tree warden Sue Parkin, in planting the first of over half a million trees that will help transform Alconbury Airfield. The tree planting is the first work on the site as it begins its transformation into an Enterprise Zone aiming to bring 8000 jobs to the local area, and has been designed jointly with the local Parish Council. read more »

In his response the Minister has confirmed the A14 as a priority project for the government and provided further details of the planned improvements. read more »

It was confirmed today by the Chancellor of the Exchequer that the A14 is now a priority project for this government. The Chancellor’s comments on the A14 made during his autumn statement means that all options for the road, including tolls, are to be put on the table and reviewed. read more »
