Refuse workers in Huntingdonshire have been praised by Jonathan Djanogly MP after he spent the day on a local bin round

31st May 2012

After meeting his team for the day at 6am at Huntingdonshire District Council’s Eastfield House Jonathan left for his shift which took him around one of the local village routes.

After helping with the emptying of hundreds of bins Jonathan was impressed by his colleagues’ commitment to their work and the emphasis they placed on the ethos that they were providing an important local service for our residents.

Jonathan said: “All the refuse workers that I met on my round were very conscientious and a credit to HDC. With over 70,000 tonnes of rubbish being collected in Huntingdonshire every single year I have seen for myself the sterling work being done by our local refuse workers.”
