MP congratulates winners of County Young Enterprise competition
27th June 2012
Jonathan Djanogly met Jessica Tang, member of Kimbolton School’s Young Enterprise team, ‘Prizm’ after winning the Cambridgeshire County Young Enterprise competition at Robinson’s College, Cambridge on 20 June. The team went on to represent Cambridgeshire in the Regional finals on Monday 25 June, where they won both the ‘Presentation’ and ‘Trade Stall and Customer Service’ prizes but unluckily just missed winning the ‘Best Overall Company’.
Prizm’s highly innovative ‘Bee Box’ is designed to help save the dramatically declining bee population, which is now at a record low. Bees fly into the Bee Box and lay their eggs in the product. The Bee Box is then designed to shelter the eggs during the cold winter months to ensure, come spring the bee population has sufficiently recovered.
Jonathan Djanogly said: “I was very impressed with the presentation and look of the Bee Box product as well as the organisation and focus of the Kimbolton team. I wholly endorse this encouragement of our young entrepreneurs and wish the Kimbolton team well in the competition.”
