Djanogly visits Lola

1st March 2010

Jonathan Djanogly visited Lola Group last week to get an insight in to the companies successful diversification in to the Aerospace, Defence and Communications industries.

Djanogly, who has been MP for Huntingdon since 2001 said of his visit: “"It was a fascinating insight in to the true diversity of the projects that Lola work on. So many industries benefit from Lola's skill and expertise. I believe that companies like Lola bring a huge amount of pride and kudos to Huntingdon.'

As well as being escorted around the Composites, Wind Tunnel and recently opened Assembly areas, Djanogly was also presented with a framed reminder of his 2008 trip in a Lola sports car during the 50th anniversary celebrations

Lola Managing Director, Andrew Manahan said of the visit: "It was a pleasure to show Jonathan around our headquarters. He was genuinely very pleasantly surprised with the true variety of our capabilities here. For Huntingdon and the surrounding area Lola are a well recognised and progressive company that have in recent years made its name in Aerospace and Defence just as much as it has done on the race tracks of the world. Jonathan's position as the Shadow Minister for Business, Innovation and Skills means that he can fully appreciate Lola's current diversification as a tier two supplier to major companies such as BAE Systems and Thales UK."
