Conservative Leadership Contest

14th September 2001

Jonathan Djanogly comments on the result of the Conservative Party leadership contest.

Jonathan Djanogly, the Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon Constituency, commenting on the result of the Conservative Party leadership contest said:

"Conservative Party members have chosen a new leader. We are now in a position to move forward and to challenge this Government on every appropriate occasion.

We also have the opportunity to represent the British people on this issues that matter most to them. We will expose this Government's feeble efforts to deal with the crises in our schools and hospitals and we will provide a positive set of alternative policies on public services that will attract widespread support in the country."
