A14 - Government must sort out the Road

9th February 2005

Jonathan Djanogly has joined forces with James Paice MP for Cambs S.E. and Andrew Lansley MP for Cambs South in calling on the Government to end the delays to work starting on the proposed A14 consultation.

Jonathan Djanogly the MP for the Huntingdon Constituency, has joined forces with James Paice MP for Cambs S.E. and Andrew Lansley MP for Cambs South in calling on the Government to end the delays to work starting on the proposed A14 consultation and road building. The three Cambridgeshire MPs spoke, yesterday evening, in what turned out to be a heated adjournment debate called to discuss the A14. Mr Djanogly said:

"The Minister made light of our protests. He clearly has no idea just how important the issue is for locally affected people or development in the Cambridgeshire region."

"Of great concern is that following the debate we still seem to be none the wiser as to exactly when the delayed consultation is likely to start."

I and my local Parliamentary colleagues together with local Conservative Councillors, shall not let up on pushing this Government into delivery on the A14 and showing up their ongoing failures to act."
